napkin technique in 3D
You can create great picture reliefs with metal embossing foil. The napkin motifs are glued flat onto sheet aluminum and the sheet is then embossed with an embossing pen. The napkin motifs created in this way give every craft work that "certain something extra".
Find out here step by step how 3D crafting with napkins works:
1. Prime the aluminum sheet with white handicraft paint and allow to dry.
2. Remove the two layers of white paper from the napkins and stick the top, printed layer onto the primed aluminum sheet using napkin varnish .
3. Allow to dry thoroughly. Place the metal sheet with the metal side down on a special soft mat. Using an embossing tool (ball point), first trace the inner and outer contours of your motif.
4. Cut out the motifs to the exact contours and place them on the special mat with the glued front side.
5. Emboss the shape from the reverse side with the large and small ball.
Tip:
To emboss the shape particularly evenly, you can then work it out further on a hard surface, e.g. the table top.
